Volunteers Needed for The Believers Business Center''s Fix -It- Fair.

Our goal is to develop community business helps projects. Our projects agenda is to help build jobs and business opportunities in our community through weekly entrepreneurial trainings, and sales opportunity events back to back.

We call them tag-alongs, and entrepreneurs wing programs; inspired entrepreneurs can tag along with the experienced.

The concept for the Fix It Fair is: whatever people are struggling with, we will have someone here that can help them fix it, or direct them to someone who can.

We are looking for 4 volunteers to assist in the success of our first community event "Fix it Fair" The event is on July 23, 2011 from 9am to 5pm.

We would need 4 volunteers.
Age group we are looking for is 18 and up.
We will accept Volunteers whom are court- ordered services- Yes

Following is a description of duties for the Fix it Fair -

Parking director,
Setup and cleanup,
Patrol clean-ups /over full trash cans, spills etc.
Door register to assist and insure attendees sign in.
Greeter for attendees and giving out maps and hand outs of information
Assisting in attendee area control, as there are areas of the facility where the public should not wander.

Prior to the event, We could use 1 or 2 volunteers for the pre-event preparations.

These volunteer positions needs a person/persons who has attention for details,

Someone with computer skills involving Internet advertising such as Face book, Tweeter, Meet up etc..

Distributing flyer's
Member event plan confirmations
Computor Posting of Other up-coming events on our website.

We will be in need of volunteers in the future - Yes

This program will be generating a minimum of seven job positions in the future.

This program will also have certified business coach trainers for hundreds of entrepreneurial business

Upcoming event planning: Our goal at Believers Business Center is to make others successful. We are an Entrepreneurs mall where people can find you when they need your products and services.

Each month we have focus weeks for each target market, this is for the entrepreneurs and the public, providing opportunities classes and events where people can connect to success.

You can host your own events or join in others on the schedule.

Target your advertisments through the traffic of other events. Example: Advertise/promote a book on health through a health seminar.

Your events do not all have to be held at the Believers Business Center. We will advertise them where ever they are being hosted (with in our code of ethics guidelines of course).

The schedule is laid out as follows: The weeks are Monday through Sunday. Any days or extra weeks are open. Pick the week or weeks you desire to fit into and lets brainstorm and be creative with some strategic marketing ideas.

You can Host or be a Guest of any of the events, we are scheduling at least 6 months ahead. Listed are a few of the events that will repeat each month so far where you can opt to host with your expertise.

Following are the updates for the Fix -IT- Fair and your reminder for the network luncheon this Thursday 12 PM to 1PM.

The Fix -It- Fair flyer and registrations are up and functioning excellent on the website.

2500 flyers have been ordered for us to begin passing out.
Around 40 businesses and entrepreneurs participating so far and we are reaching vendor space capacity for this event fast.
No commitment for vendor booths are solid until we have received your payment.
Membership special for June. Vendor Booths are free for this event with your full membership of $99.00 registration yearly fee and $25.00 per month commitment for participation in all of our events for a year. Anyone signing up in the month of June will also receive free events for six months.

The layout is set for the building and where the vendors will be:

Authors/writers/publishers will be in the Burgundy Room.
Attached is the speakers schedule.
An author will be announced on the half hour, speak on their books and drawings for gift certificates are set each author for their drawing.
360 Digital will have a gift certificate drawing for any one how is writing a book.

Awareness is news worthy

Some may remember the article, from March 18, 2006 in the Kalamazoo Gazettes. Where Carrie Bertrand’s first book “Living The Promises” made feature story, Headlined; “Tracks Leading to God”. The story included the History of the 1902 Michigan Railway Street Car Barn. “The Trolley Station” was purchased and renovated by Bertrand with the purpose of a marketplace for helping people restore their lives through teachings on how to apply the scriptures from the bible into their own daily situations.

Kalamazoo - Local business owner, second time author and pastor Carrie Bertrand connects the dots to a four-year calling as she presents her second book “Awareness” to the public. For those who know her and have kept her encouraged through their belief in the purpose and vision, there is a sigh of relief as another milestone has been achieved. Her second book “Awareness” is the gripping story of a two-year search to find health answers for her family that brought her to God in desperation, and changed her life’s destination to helping others.

Bertrand’s story cries out for “Awareness”, the things we don’t know that can harm us, and the connections we need that can help us. Readers will experience heart-felt emotions of anger, compassion, love and frustration. With the turn of every page the reader travels with her through the memories of a horrifying disease with no name that she had locked away in a Pandora’s box since 1994.

Bertrand began writing the book in 2008 after learning from the television news that there are over 13,000 families suffering from the disease she had, which now has a name, “Morgellons”. Like another new- disease that is becoming a more common word in many households, “Fibromyalgia”. These diseases are under investigation and to date media coverage has remained almost non-existent, leaving most people, including our physicians unaware of the name and the symptoms. With under-reporting and misdiagnosing alone there is no telling the actual number of victims that may still be suffering unnecessarily due to lack of “AWARENESS”. People have a right to be informed.

Morgellons is a medical mystery but it is real. In nearly every household of our friends and loved ones, people are suffering with at least one of the many illnesses that are associated with these diseases. Bertrand’s “Awareness” book is full of documents dated back to 1992 confirming the horrific stories and experiences of those families already registered in the investigation. She had blocked out the memories of her own awful experiences with Morgellons disease as if they never happened, so she could re-establish a normal life after Morgellons. When she had found the answers for her family to be healed, she was finally able to let go, but with reports still indicating that there is no normal life or healing for all those families, she became inspired to tell the story and make her documents available to the public.

In connecting the dots of the four-year journey; it was because of the signs, miracles and wonders that began to take place in her life, when she began following the bibles instructions to repair the damage caused from Morgellons that inspired her first book. Titled “Living The Promises”. This book teaches people how to read and understand the bible, but more than anything, it is full of true-life examples for understanding and application of God’s daily direction in our lives. The symptoms of Morgellons were the tracks that lead her to God, but her first book only mentions a horror story she chose to leave out, since it was still lacking a name.

On March 2, 2010 the Kalamazoo Gazette headlined “Entrepreneur aims to start Believers Business Center”. The article established three years that Bertrand has been working on the business center concept of a connection center where people can more easily obtain the answers they need, whether for health, spiritual or business. The Believers Business Center has been designed and erected from the combined challenges of her own life, from starting businesses to finding health answers, to building a relationship with God and Jesus Christ, to authoring two books. The center will be a place for people to connect more easily to the things they need in order to achieve success, such as those Bertrand needed through her own endeavors.

Bertrand said, her heart cried out, ‘I can relate to the needs of others, God how can I help”. And it was through those prayers that the Believers Business Center is ready to help people connect to their success. It has taken four years of long days, weekends, and missed time with my family says Bertrand, but I finally have a firm foundation built under the old trolley barn’s roof.

The business plan is designed with the sole purpose of filling and connecting needs in the market place when they arise. Bertrand says, “In becoming an author a person will need to find and connect with editors, publishers, book stores, expo centers and advertising, etc. When one becomes ill and can’t find wellness, they need, and have the right to learn about options. When one is looking for help in starting a new business, and so on. This is the concept of The Believers Business Center.

The Believers Business Center is a marketplace for teams of entrepreneurs to connect, build relationships and assistance programs, but most of all a place for people to build a confident walk with God, in the place where we need Him the most, in our individual lives. Bertrand invites others to get involved in the building of teams in the maketplace who are serious about change, which would help the economy for local entrepreneurs. Monthly networking, expos and vendor events begin now.

Saturday November 13, 2010 from 2:00 PM to 5:00PM. Bertrand will be presenting her books.

At 2:30 and 4:00 Guests will hear Carrie’s testimony of the disease that nearly destroyed her. The medical professionals who couldn’t help her, and our awesome God that saved her with the help of natural health solutions and “AWARENESS”.
